My name is Vinh Nguyen. I'm 28 years old, former Marine...

Started running when I joined the military in 1999. I did not enjoy running until 2006-7 when I started training for my first marathon. In the Marines, we ran an average of 3-5 miles. I never ran any distances longer than that until I started training for the Myrtle Beach Marathon in 2007.

Currently working as a government contractor (electronics technician).

I finished my Associates of Science in August and have finally been able to train hard full time. I decided to take time of school to see how much of a difference it will make and maybe hopefully achieve my goal and qualify for Boston.

Upper body and core work out. No run today cuz they were doing construction on the roads by my house. Planning on 10 tomorrow.

I like the looks of his site..pretty Dry but solid information. My rib is finally better so I have NO excuse to not have a wicked solid core like Vinh! :)

Thanks all! I haven't lifted in a week and a half so I need to get back at it. Thank goodness the construction was for one day. They were just repaving my road in my neighborhood.

Missy! - Come on now, everyone knows Missy has probably one of the strongest core/body on this blog. You are a BEAST! You make me look like a kid =P

Thanks for the vid. It looks like the same types of core exercises we used to do in the Corps. I love planks. They are very effective for core strengthening. I'm glad your rib is better. =)

Well Vinh..you are a kid..mwa ha ha ha! I can say that cuz I am older. :D But, my core needs some work..I can get it fast tho..My body learns quickly..that is a good thing..:D
